Solar Ibex Cooker - (Latest solar products)
There’s nothing like cooking in the great outdoors however currently it either means have a gas-powered BBQ or finding something to burn so you can get a decent enough fire going to cook your food.
However Israeli designer Nir Beit-av has come up with a solar cooker, that allows for an easy method of cooking whether you are camping, on a beach or somewhere even more remote.
Called the Solar Ibex, the solar cooker boasts an incorporated auto-tracking sun ray concentrator, which means
you don’t have to keep adjusting it to face the sun during the course of the day.
This is done via micro motors located at the base of the reflector, which rotate the reflector and are operated via a small PV panel. The food is placed in a centre pot on a tripod in the centre of the solar ray concentrator allowing for not only quick disassembly and cooking time, but for a stylish and contemporary design.
All the user has to do is program the cooking time and leave their food to cook. With the capability of heating produce up to 300 degrees Celsius, it is clear that the Solar Ibex will get the job done no matter where you are.
